About the role
Nexus is hiring backend engineers in Latin America on a 12-month contract, with potential extension. Work remotely with teams in San Francisco and LATAM on the infrastructure behind its AI gateway.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable backend services, APIs, AI-provider integrations, and request-routing infrastructure.
- Develop usage, cost, budget, and access controls for enterprise customers.
- Improve system performance, observability, scalability, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Production backend experience, computer-science fundamentals, and knowledge of APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Rust, or C++, and relational databases.
- Business English and effective collaboration across a distributed team.
- The employer considers junior candidates with 1–3 years of experience and principal candidates with 8+ years.
