About the role
Chronicle is hiring a Smart Contract Engineer to build EVM contracts and oracle protocols. This is a full-time, remote role requiring overlap with Central European working hours (CET/CEST).
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy smart contracts across EVM chains and layer-two networks.
- Review contracts, support security audits and research protocol design.
- Define oracle data requirements and contribute to Proof of Asset methodology.
- Build operational tooling in Go or Python and maintain production documentation.
Requirements
- Strong Solidity and EVM knowledge, including Foundry.
- Understanding of computer science, applied cryptography and DeFi systems such as lending, staking, pools and vaults.
- Backend development literacy in Go, Python or Rust.
- Independent working style and clear written English.
